What is a fisheries region?
Fisheries regions are public corporations established to develop fisheries within their respective areas. They promote collaboration among their members – owners of water areas and nationwide fishing organizations – to ensure the sustainable management of fish resources. There are 118 fisheries regions in Finland. The Tammisaari-Pohja Fisheries Region includes streams, rivers, lakes and sea areas. Most of the water areas are located within the city of Raseborg.
Take a closer look at the fisheries region in the map. You can choose between different map layers in the menu at the top left, for example property boundaries or fishing restrictions. Please note that you need to zoom in sufficiently for property boundaries and designations to become visible. By clicking on the fishing restriction area, you can access more information about the restriction.
